Maintenance

• Harbour Wall Repairs
With our past experience in repairing and pressure grouting nearly 3 km of masonry harbour wall for the Hartlepool Marina development, we can carry out any similar jobs with confidence.

• Cathodic Protection
One of our regular maintenance tasks involves replacing sacrificial anodes on jetties, wharves and lock gate structures to ensure full protection of the structure is maintained.

• Lock Gate Maintenance
To ensure that lock gates are operating efficiently, it is often necessary to remove accumulated silt and debris from the sill, apron & gate recesses and inspect sluices and gate seals Sub Aqua Diving Services are familiar with all aspects of gate maintenance, and were appointed as diving contractors during the successful removal and replacement of The Middlehaven & Tees Dockyard Gates on the River Tees.

• Outfall and Intake Maintenance
The fitting of stop-logs or dam boards to Intake Structures for periodic maintenance at Power Stations, Pumping Stations etc, is another example of our ongoing maintenance activities, as is the regular inspection of Outfall Discharge Structures.

• Ships Hull Aperture Blanking & Removal of Fouls from Propulsion Units
We are often called upon to blank off sea intakes or overboard discharge outlets to enable repairs to be carried out inside the vessel. Removing of fouls from propellers & thrusters is also a regular example of our work.

• Reservoir Maintenance
Ongoing maintenance within reservoirs, sumps & intake chambers, such as repairs to penstock gates and band screens, are carried out on a regular basis by Sub Aqua Diving Services.
